Dear Friend of Big Brothers Big Sisters:

We invite you to be a “Defender of Potential” in support of the children and youth served by Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Tampa Bay at our 9th Annual Companies for Kids Golf Invitational. This best-in-class tournament will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club, home to the PGA’s Valspar Championship and world-renowned Copperhead and Island courses.

By joining us, you will be helping our efforts to raise additional funds to grow our mentoring services across our nine counties. In 2019, the agency positively impacted 2,819 children through our one-to-one mentoring services and programs, such as: Community and Site-Based; School-to-Work; Big Futures; and our Bigs in Blue program that matches police officers with youths in an effort to build strong and trusting relationships in the community.

As a result of your participation in this event and your financial support, we are able to ensure that every child has the opportunity to create a meaningful future by helping them to develop their potential. Some of our key successes were as follows:

  • 99% of Littles were promoted to the next grade level;
  • 97% avoided involvement with the Department of Juvenile Justice;
  • 95% maintained or improved their social acceptance;
  • 93% planned to go to college; and
  • 86% of Littles maintained or improved their relationship with a parent or guardian.

Our day starts at 10:00 A.M. with registration and complimentary gift shopping at our custom designed pro-shop! The call to carts will include a brief, but inspiring program followed by a chance to win $200 in our putting contest. The shotgun start begins at 1:00 P.M. followed by 18 holes of golf with on-course activities, free drinks and savory lunch bites courtesy of our generous sponsors. After your fun-filled round of golf, we will host an outdoor reception at the Copperhead Clubhouse in celebration of the day while enjoying premium cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres and the tournament awards presentations.

So, don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a “Defender of Potential” — register now to be among the most philanthropic business leaders from across the community who support the mission of BBBS Tampa Bay!

Very truly yours,

Stephen Koch
